Forum: GratefulDead Subject: What is Freedom of Speech?

The first amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Now my words - the first amendment does not say that a newspaper, magazine, internet site cannot regulate or censor. So an arguement that one's freedom of speech is being denied is a false one if that person is denied a forum. Freedom of speech does not mean that you are provided a free forum to practice your freedom of speech.
A streetcorner may be that free forum, but even then if you offend enough people you could probably be arrested for inciting a riot. With freedom comes responsibility.
